About the Club
Background and role
The Österreichischer Mopsclub is the only Pug club in Austria recognised by the Österreichischer Kynologenverband and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale, and the only member association of the ÖKV for the breed. It supervises breeding of the Pug to the FCI standard and to ÖKV rules, so that dogs bred under it are recognised across the FCI member countries, and it publishes a list of breeders working to those rules. Its committee is led by president Elisabeth Arthold, with Sabine Manz as breed warden, Gustav Graf as finance officer, Karin Boesze as secretary and Celise Stone as show officer. Hana Ahrens, the international judge, was listed as the club’s contact in the ÖKV stud book for 2014.
