Klub chovatelů loveckých slídičů (KCHLS) stands as the oldest club in the Czech Republic dedicated to the specialized breeding and development of hunting dogs. As of 2025, the organization is structured into two primary branches: KCHLS retrieveři and KCHLS slídiči a vodní psi. The club serves as a comprehensive authority for 21 distinct breeds, ensuring that breeding practices align with the highest standards of health, genetics, and natural working ability.

Core Mission and Objectives

The primary mission of KCHLS is the controlled and ethical breeding of hunting spaniels, retrievers, and water dogs. The club is committed to improving the breeding base by strictly adhering to FCI standards and the regulations set forth by the ČMKU (Czech-Moravian Cynological Union). • Retrievers: Labrador, Golden, Chesapeake Bay, Flat Coated, Curly Coated, and Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
• Spaniels: English Cocker, English Springer, Welsh Springer, Clumber, Sussex, Field, and American Water Spaniel.
• Water Dogs: Lagotto Romagnolo, Irish Water Spaniel, Barbet, Spanish Water Dog, Portuguese Water Dog, and Wetterhoun.
• Other: Deutscher Wachtelhund and Kooikerhondje.

Activities and Governance

KCHLS provides extensive support to its members through a structured framework of rules, including organizational, disciplinary, and breeding regulations.
