Background and role
The Club Azuréen des Lévriers de Course is club number 967 in the register of the Société Centrale Canine. Its ground is not a training field but a cynodrome — a racing track — at Oraison in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
It has one activity and one only: the national track race for sighthounds. Where a general club lists half a dozen disciplines, this one exists for a single event held on its own oval, and it is the southern French club of that discipline.
Its president and licensing contact is André Bérenger, who also organises for the federation's sighthound commission and sits on the committee of the Association Canine Territoriale Société Canine Midi Côte d'Azur.
