Jagd Terrier Club de France (JTCF)
The official French breed club for the German Hunting Terrier, built around its work below ground.
About the Club
Background and role
The Jagd Terrier Club de France is the official French breed club for the German Hunting Terrier, affiliated to the Société Centrale Canine. Its own pages head themselves club officiel de race affilié à la Centrale Canine.
The breed is kept for work below ground, and the club's sections follow that: beside the breed itself it keeps a section for the working tests and one for the results of both the working tests and the shows. Its year runs on the Nationale d'Élevage — the 2023 edition was held at Jarnac in the Charente — and on regional meetings such as the Challenge Inter-Pyrénées.
The club publishes its own losses as well as its wins: its news records the death of its president Alvaro Marson, and of Bernard Decrenisse, a member since 1986 who served as deputy treasurer and judged for the club.
Jean-Yves Bidal is its vice-president. He holds ten French competition licences for underground work, four of them at the rank that may train other judges.
