Lagotto Club de France (LCF)
The official French breed club for the Lagotto Romagnolo, in the ring and at truffle work.
About the Club
Background and role
The Lagotto Club de France is the official French breed club for the Lagotto Romagnolo, affiliated to the Société Centrale Canine, and it says on its own pages that it is the only club recognised for the breed in France.
Its sections divide the breed the way the breed itself divides: one side for the ring — the FCI standard, the points that bar confirmation, the champions since 2017 and the annual challenges — and one for the work the Lagotto is actually kept for, the search for truffles. Beside them sit breeding, litters and cotations, the club's statutes and internal rules, its commissions and a map of its regional delegates.
Its president is Céline Bottussi Jocquel, who holds the Lagotto at the French training rank and organises for the federation's own truffle-hunting commission.
