Background and role
The Associazione Magyar Vizsla Club Italiano is the breed association recognised by the Ente Nazionale della Cinofilia Italiana for the Hungarian Vizsla in Italy. The club describes itself as the only club officially recognised by ENCI for the protection of the breed in its two coat varieties, the short-haired and the wire-haired Magyar Vizsla. In the ENCI register of specialised associations it is listed in the province of Padua, in the Veneto region, and is entered against both varieties — the bracco ungherese a pelo corto and the bracco ungherese a pelo duro, FCI Group 7.
The club's published administrative structure names Enrico Brogiolo as president, Mariella Michelon as secretary and treasurer, and Mariella Michelon and Giorgio Silvi as vice-presidents. The consiglio direttivo lists Renato Danielis, Federica Guerinoni and Maurizio Massolo, together with Libero Asioli, whose entry carries the note eletto dall'ENCI — the seat filled by the national body rather than by the membership. The technical committee is made up of Giulio Bezzecchi, Giovanni Ivan Torchio and Giovanni Barbieri, and the board of auditors of Barbara Colombetti, Ottavio Gardin and Paolo Krochmal.
