Club Amatori Pastori Belgi (CAPB)
The ENCI-recognised breed association for the Belgian Shepherd Dog in Italy, organised in regional sections.
About the Club
Background and role
The Club Amatori Pastori Belgi is the breed association recognised by the Ente Nazionale della Cinofilia Italiana for the Belgian Shepherd Dog in Italy. In the ENCI register of specialised associations it is entered in the province of Milan, in Lombardy, and is listed against the single breed cane da pastore belga, FCI Group 1 — which the FCI standard divides into the four varieties Groenendael, Tervueren, Malinois and Laekenois.
The club is organised into regional sections, each with its own referente. Its published list of sections runs from Piedmont to Sicily and includes, in Lombardy, the Langobardia Maior section at Cavenago d'Adda in the province of Lodi, whose referente is Pietro Bottagisio. Other Lombard sections named there are Regio Insubrica at Olgiate Comasco, San Giorgio at Montichiari and a section in Milan; the Piedmontese sections are Torino Musinรจ at Caselette, La Tollara at Fubine and Torino at Rocca Nuova.
