Norsk Myndeklubb (NMK)

Norsk Myndeklubb (NMK) is a prestigious breed organization established in 1946, serving as the primary authority for sighthound enthusiasts in Norway. As a collaborative partner with the Norsk Kennel Klub (NKK), the club plays a vital role in the national canine community by overseeing the responsible management and promotion of specific sighthound breeds.

The core mission of the Norsk Myndeklubb is to ensure the welfare and development of the breeds under its care. The club is officially responsible for the breed management of the following FCI-recognized breeds, all of which are registered with the NKK:

• Afghansk mynde (Afghan Hound)
• Azawakh
• Borzoi
• Italiensk mynde (Italian Greyhound)
• Polsk mynde (Chart Polski)
• Saluki
• Skotsk hjortehund (Scottish Deerhound)

It organizes significant events, including the annual Høstutstillingen (Autumn Exhibition), which serves as a highlight for members and breeders alike. Beyond event organization, the Norsk Myndeklubb is dedicated to fostering a strong community among its members. A key benefit of membership is the receipt of the club's official publication, Mynden.
