Vit Herdehundklubb (VHK)

Vit Herdehundklubb (VHK) is the official breed club for the White Swiss Shepherd (Vit herdehund) in Sweden. Established in the year 2000, the organization has served as a dedicated breed club under the Swedish Working Dog Association (Svenska Brukshundklubben, SBK) since January 1, 2010. The club acts as a central hub for enthusiasts, owners, and breeders, providing resources, guidance, and community engagement for those passionate about the breed.

The current strategy, valid through 2027, emphasizes the importance of increasing genetic variation within the breed. The club’s breeding council provides expert guidance to members regarding breeding practices, puppy referrals, and health-related inquiries, ensuring that the breed continues to thrive with a focus on both temperament and physical well-being.
