Bulldog Club of Colorado (BCC)

The Bulldog Club of Denver, originally established as the Bulldog Club of Colorado, serves as a premier organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Bulldog breed. Founded on August 1, 1947, by a group of 17 passionate breeders, the club was formed to determine the interest in a dedicated specialty club for the region. Following a petition to the American Kennel Club (AKC), the organization adopted its current name to distinguish its geographic focus within Colorado.

History and Affiliation

The club's formal development included the creation of a constitution and bylaws in August 1947, with its first AKC-sanctioned match held shortly thereafter. By January 1949, the club received official recognition from the AKC. In 1950, the organization reached a significant milestone by becoming a member of the Bulldog Club of America (BCA), solidifying its status as a key participant in the national Bulldog community. Today, the club remains a prominent member of BCA Division IV.
