Great Dane Club of Greater Denver (GDCGD)

The Great Dane Club of Greater Dallas (GDCGD) is a dedicated organization established in 1967 to foster goodwill, education, and mentorship within the Great Dane community. As an official affiliate of the Great Dane Club of America and accredited by the American Kennel Club (AKC) in December 1967, the club serves as a hub for enthusiasts to preserve the integrity and standards of the breed.

• Performance Trials: The GDCGD is licensed to host trials in Rally, Obedience, and FAST CAT.
• Community Engagement: Members participate in therapy dog work, agility, lure coursing, dock diving, scent work, and local community celebrations.

Membership and Rules

Membership is open to those interested in the breed, with no requirement to own or show a dog. The club offers a welcoming environment for both local and non-regular members who reside outside the immediate Dallas area. While the club encourages ethical breeding practices, it does not mandate that members breed their dogs. Members are expected to adhere to safety rules during club-sanctioned events and are encouraged to participate in the club's mission of education and advocacy.
