The Samoyed Club of Central Arizona (SCCA) is a dedicated organization serving Samoyed enthusiasts throughout the central Arizona region. As a proud member of the Samoyed Club of America and a club licensed by the American Kennel Club (AKC), the SCCA plays a vital role in the local canine community. The club is committed to the advancement of the Samoyed breed, ensuring that their natural qualities are brought to perfection through responsible breeding and ownership.

Core Mission and Objectives:

• To promote the advancement of purebred Samoyeds and uphold the official breed standard as approved by the American Kennel Club.
• To protect and advance the interests of all purebred dogs while fostering a spirit of sportsmanship in competitive events.
• To organize and conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, and obedience trials in accordance with AKC regulations.
• To serve as a central hub for Samoyed fanciers, providing resources, education, and community support.

Activities and Operations:

The SCCA maintains an active schedule, hosting meetings every other month on the first Wednesday at 7:00 PM, currently conducted via Zoom to ensure accessibility for all members. The club is also heavily involved in hosting specialty shows, such as the upcoming event scheduled for November 8, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. Beyond competitive events, the club provides resources for Samoyed rescue and maintains a directory of breeders to assist those looking to bring a Samoyed into their homes.

Membership:

While the club is primarily representative of Samoyed fanciers in the Arizona area, membership is unrestricted regarding residence. The SCCA encourages those passionate about the breed to join their ranks. Prospective members can obtain an official application through the club secretary to begin the process of joining this community of dedicated dog lovers.
