Judging Credentials
Kurt Nilsson, born 1955 in Boden, Sweden, is an all-breed and Best in Show judge under the Svenska Kennelklubben. He was first authorized to judge Newfoundlands, Bernese Mountain Dogs and Saint Bernards in 1987, and became an all-breed judge in September 2006, now licensed across all ten FCI groups. He has judged shows across Scandinavia, Europe, Australia, South Korea, Singapore and China. According to the FCI judge registry, his licence is currently listed as active with a suspension in effect from 1 March 2025 to 28 February 2027 at both international and national level.
Breeding — Kennel "Nallelandets"
Nilsson got his first dog, a Newfoundland bitch, in 1970, and grew up around hunting breeds including Hamiltonstövare and Smålandsstövare. He began breeding in 1975 under the kennel prefix "Nallelandets," now in its ninth generation; in 1989 he and his wife added the Bearded Collie to the kennel.

Since 1980, Nilsson has worked as a teacher at Grans College of Agriculture. He has also held various positions within breed clubs and local kennel clubs, and served on the education committee of the Svenska Kennelklubben.
