Professional Profile: Bo Skalin
Judging Credentials
Bo Skalin, born 1956, is an all-breed and Best in Show judge under the Svenska Kennelklubben. First licensed on 29 August 1995 specialising in Schnauzers and Pinschers, he was confirmed as an all-breed judge in 2011 and has since judged on every continent. Although he relocated to Finland in 2005, he continues to judge under the Swedish Kennel Club, in Swedish or English. He is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish.
Breeding β Kennel "Skabona"
Skalin has owned Giant Schnauzers since 1977 and Miniature Schnauzers since 1984; his earlier kennel "Hassan Hills" bred more than 50 Giant and Miniature Schnauzer champions from 1985 onward and received the Swedish Kennel Club's Hamilton Plaque. Together with his wife, fellow FCI judge Natalja Skalin, he now breeds Miniature Schnauzers, Rough Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs and Chihuahuas under the prefix "Skabona."
