About the Kennel
Background and breeding focus
Jane Anderson imported her first Portuguese Water Dog in the 1990s. After a corporate career, during which she took a first university degree and then a master's degree, she moved to a bare paddock of sixty-eight acres and built a property given over entirely to dogs, with a boarding kennel and cattery alongside it.
She breeds sparingly and imports her stud dogs, looking for the widest gene pool she can get, and travels most years to see the breed abroad. Her own summary of the work is that the more she learns, the more she realises there is to learn.
