About the Kennel
Background and breeding focus
Christine Boulot's own kennel is du Hameau Isabel. The family came to dogs through two Brittany spaniels and then, in 1982, a first Golden Retriever β Typhon des Gaulis de HΓͺtres, who became international beauty champion and French working champion. Wanting a bitch to breed from they acquired April Breeze du Pontias, and from that mating came their dual champion First Love du Hameau Isabel.
She names Joan Tudor as the person who fed her passion for the breed, letting her have two bitches β the dual champion Camrose Amber Yquem and Camrose Twinkle Star, whose descendants she still keeps. The line runs on through Norah du Hameau Isabel, selected in 2022 for the final of the French tracking cup at level two, and Nanouk du Hameau Isabel, already a recommended stud. She describes it as a family kennel bred for a balance of character and conformation.
The affix is not in the FCI international register: it was searched for both as a name that includes and a name that begins with HAMEAUISABEL, in the run-together form that register uses. It is a French national affix.
