About the kennel
Showline is a Greyhound and Whippet kennel run by Knut Fr Blütecher with Cecilie Blütecher.
In its history of the breed in Norway the Norsk Greyhound Klubb records that the kennel began with a daughter of Int Ch Dogcastle's Humber Hawk. When that bitch failed to produce a litter, Showline turned abroad and imported two cousins bred by Mrs Dagmar Kenis-Pordham at Solstrand in England - the American-bred Int Nord Ch Solstrand Autumn Leaves of Showline in 1975 and the English-bred Int Nord Ch Solstrand Deep Blues of Showline in 1978 - both closely line-bred on Ch Treetops Hawk.
Deep Blues became the top-winning Greyhound in the Nordic countries in 1979 with several Best in Show wins, and stands behind many leading dogs through her son Int Ch Showline Swing Hollywood, sire of the Swedish winner Int Ch Gulds Rare Raschel.
