DogShowEntry.ie is the online entry portal used for Irish Kennel Club (IKC) affiliated dog shows in Ireland. The IKC is Ireland's national kennel club and the governing body for pedigree dog registration and showing in the Republic of Ireland — separate from the UK Kennel Club which governs shows in Northern Ireland and Great Britain (where Higham Press, Fosse Data, and Have A Dog Day operate). Ireland has a rich tradition with its own native breeds — the Irish Wolfhound, Irish Red and White Setter, Irish Water Spaniel, Irish Terrier, Kerry Blue Terrier, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, and Glen of Imaal Terrier among them.

Ireland's Unique Green Stars System

How Irish championship titles work

Green Stars The IKC's equivalent of the UK Challenge Certificate is the Green Star (GS). Green Stars are awarded at IKC championship shows — a specified number under different judges are required to qualify for the Irish Champion title.
Irish Champion Title To become an Irish Show Champion, a dog must win the required number of Green Stars under different judges at IKC championship shows, including at least one major Green Star (awarded when the entry exceeds a breed-specific minimum).
Separate from UK The Irish Champion title is entirely separate from the UK Show Champion title. Dogs can hold both, but UK Challenge Certificates do not count toward Irish Green Stars and vice versa.
