Golden Retriever Club of Victoria (GRCV)
Victorian breed club for the Golden Retriever, formed in 1967.
About the Club
Background and role
The Golden Retriever Club of Victoria was formed in 1967 and has grown from small beginnings to a membership spread throughout Australia and the world.
Its shared aim is to promote and encourage interest in the Golden Retriever and to maintain the best features of the breed. It keeps a list of breeders drawn from its own membership.
Its patron is Roger Bridgford, a past president of the club, who bought his first Golden Retriever in 1957 and still exhibits under the Taumac prefix.
