Club Français du Saint-Bernard et du Dogue du Tibet (CFSBDT)
The French breed club for the St Bernard and the Tibetan Mastiff
About the Club
Background and role
The Club Français du Saint-Bernard et du Dogue du Tibet is an official breed club affiliated to the Société Centrale Canine. It covers two heavy mountain breeds that share little but their build: the St Bernard of the Alps and the Tibetan Mastiff.
Besides shows and breed specials the club publishes a breeding charter and health documentation for both breeds.
Its president is Didier Basset, who in the French register is entered as judge for the whole of Group 2 and holds the training judge rank for eleven of its breeds, the Tibetan Mastiff and the St Bernard among them.
