Judging Credentials
Torbjörn Skaar, born 1951, is an all-breed and Best in Show judge under the Svenska Kennelklubben, licensed since 27 August 1992. He has judged championship and specialty shows in more than 20 countries including Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and Thailand, and also judges Junior Handling internationally. He is fluent in English, French, German, Spanish, Norwegian and Swedish.
Breeding — Kennel "Tintavon"
Skaar's first dog was a Great Dane from a partnership that produced International and Nordic Champion "Gadget." Since 1980 he has bred Lhasa Apsos and Tibetan Terriers, plus one litter of Whippets and, since 2012, Thai Bangkaew Dogs, in partnership under the prefix "Tintavon" with fellow FCI judge Paul Stanton. The kennel received the Swedish Kennel Club's Hamilton Plaque for its Lhasa Apso breeding, the first kennel in the breed to be honoured with the award.
