The kennel
Balkana is the Australian Silky Terrier kennel of James Camac at Cardigan near Ballarat in Victoria. He has been in the breed since 1968, breeding and handling some of the biggest-winning Silkies in Australia, and describes himself as a breeder judge dedicated to sound, healthy Silky Terriers for the show ring or the family. Among its dogs are the multiple Best in Show winner Aust Sup Ch Balkana Jack Sparrow, Aust Ch Balkana Front Page News, Aust Ch Balkana Memory Lane and Aust Ch Balkana Breakfast at Tiffanys, and the kennel has bred into Finland, where Fnl Ch Aust Ch Curiosity Balkana Bound was campaigned.
