He breeds Shih Tzu and Spitz-type dogs under the kennel name Shah Abbas in Étais, Côte-d'Or, a line that has produced multiple French champions, including CH. Bal-tai Shah Abbas and CH. Bao Daï Shah Abbas. Foundation stock from Shah Abbas has gone on to found other French Shih Tzu breeding programmes; one such breeder, Élevage des titans du Causse, credits Klein with selling them their first Shih Tzu and continues to work from his bloodlines.
