Judging Credentials
Renée Sporre-Willes, born 1943, is an all-breed and Best in Show judge under the Svenska Kennelklubben, licensed since 6 July 1977 and authorized across all ten FCI groups. She has judged throughout the Nordic countries, the USA and Western Europe over several decades, and is fluent in English, French and German.
Breeding — Kennel "Cobby's"
Sporre-Willes founded the "Cobby's" kennel, breeding Norwich Terriers, Lagotto Romagnolos, Pugs and Pekingese — around 258 champions and 67 Best in Group winners as of January 2009 — and was the first to import a Lagotto Romagnolo into Scandinavia.
Roles & Publications
A journalist by profession, Sporre-Willes is President of the FCI Standards Commission, has served as co-editor-in-chief of the Swedish Kennel Club's magazine Hundsport since 1981 and as its standards adviser for three decades, and is the sole author on dog breeds for the Swedish National Encyclopedia. She has authored or edited several dog breed books and encyclopedias in Swedish and English, initiated the Swedish "Breeder of the Year" award in 1982 and the "Blue-Yellow Dog" award in 2000, and designed the Swedish Kennel Club's museum and library.
